Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at San Clemente Mission Church on Monday morning, August 30, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. and interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery (River Blvd.) Mr. Luna was born April 5, 1902 in Zacatecas, Mexico and he passed away on August 25, 2004, in Bakersfield, California. He lived to be 102 years old and he resided in Bakersfeld for most of his life. Dad loved to be around his family whether it was a baptism, birthday or a simple family barbecue. He was always the center of attention. He always knew how to have a good time and up until a year ago Dad was still up and around and on the go. Sal is survived by his daughter, Rachel Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, Salvador and Sandra Luna, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Amelia and Mark Franco; daughter, Vera Maldonado; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Emily Luna; daughter and son-in-law, Trinidad and Ramon Flores; sister, Lilian Rocha; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Our Dad was everyones friend. He loved to dance and be outdoors. He lived a good long life and he has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior.
