Myrtle was born in Lamar, CO. She moved to Arvin, CA in 1924, and then to Bakersfield, CA in 1969, where she resided until failing health prompted her to relocate in Pacific Grove, CA near her family. Mrs. Krauter worked for the United States Postal Service in Arvin for over 25 years. She later was employed by Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, serving as Worthy Matron of the Arvin Chapter in 1962-1963. Mrs. Krauter leaves to cherish her memory a son, Hal (Carolyn) Krauter of Carmel, CA; three grandchildren, Doug, Denise, and Darcy; five great- grandchildren; sister, Deloise Beavers of Tehachapi, CA. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd., in Bakersfield, CA, on Saturday, September 4, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. Monterey Cremation Service (831) 394-1406 Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
