Carl Henderson Jones
Services: Wed., Sept. 1, 3 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 1, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 
River Blvd. for Carl Henderson Jones who died peacefully at his home on August 
24, 2004. 

Carl was born on August 20, 1921, in Vernon, Texas. He served in the Army 
during World War II stationed in LaHarve, France on the Normandy Coast and in 
the Aleutian Islands for six years. Upon returning home from the service he 
was employed with Shell Oil for over 35 years.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, of 38 years and his brother, 
J.B. Jones. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jewel Jones of Bakersfield; 
his stepsons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Nalini Gallagher of Playa del 
Rey, Michael and Lynn Gallagher of Georgetown and his stepdaughters and son-in-
law, Sheila and Walter Prelle of Valencia, and Jean Gallagher of Bakersfield. 
He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
