Joyce Kootstra
Oct. 24, 1932 Aug. 26, 2004

Joyce Kootstra was born on October 26, 1932, in Holland, to Pier and Grace 
Tjaarda and went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2004, in Bakersfield. 

She came to the United States in 1952 and married Lewis Kootstra in 1953. 
Joyce loved the Lord and was a Bible Study Fellowship Leader and Sunday School 
Teacher. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewis and her son, 
Peter. Survivors are her children, Hoyt Kootstra, Marilyn Toler and husband, 
Larry, Martha Brown and husband, Sean, Lee Kootstra, Richard Kootstra and 
wife, Sherry; sisters, Helen, Greta, Clara, Pat and Tina; brothers, Homer, Ed, 
John, Harm, Roy and Andy; grandchildren, Todd and Julianne Toler, Garrett and 
Derek Graham and Kayla and Harrison Kootstra.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at 
Calvary Bible on Manor. No visitation is scheduled.
