Teri was born May 29, 1964, in Bakersfield, to Pet and Margaret Garcia. She 
lived in Bakersfield until her death on August 28, 2004, after a long battle 
with Lupus. 

After graduating from UCLA, Teri began her career as a sales representative 
for KUZZ and KBAK television stations. Most recently she had been working in 
the front office of St. Francis Church.

Teri was always optimistic and had a never-give-up attitude. She had a strong 
faith in God which led her to belong to several prayer groups and form many 
wonderful friendships. She enjoyed traveling and after college spent time in 
Europe and Mexico. She loved going to the movies and spending time at the 
beach with family and friends. Most of all, Teri loved being around children 
and was always ready to play games or do art projects with her nephew and 
nieces.

Although Teri was taken from us too soon, we are comforted by the fact that 
she is in Heaven and no longer suffering.

Services will be held at St. Francis Church, 900 H Street, Wednesday, 
September 1, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. Father Craig Harrison will officiate and 
entombment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Ln.

No visitation is scheduled.
