Sarah Bethel Nan
Jan. 11, 1925 Aug. 28, 2004 

Bethel was born in Albia, Iowa and moved to California in 1953. She met and 
married Lewis J. Nan in 1958 and remained married for 45 years until Lewis's 
death earlier this year. She is survived by her daughter Lynda Hadley and son 
Wally Kelly. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Sherrie Santana, 
Kimberly Navarro, Jeffrey Kelly, Tracy Bell and Justin Kelly, and 9 great-
grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

Bethel was a waitress for many years at Daves Delicatessen and at Dennys on 
White Lane. Her later years were spent at home usually baby-sitting one of the 
grand kids. She never said No! She will be remembered as a loving mother and 
grandmother.

Visitation will be Wed. Sept. 1 from 4 P.M.-8P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial on 
Niles St. Services will be Thurs. 9-2 at 11:00 A.M. also at Hillcrest 
Memorial.
