Graveside services for Pauline Mazza Scates will be held at Greenlawn 
Southwest Cemetery (Panama Lane) on Friday, September 3, 2004, at 12:00 Noon. 
Chaplain Bob Winter will officiate. 

Pauline Mazza Scates was born October 30, 1916, in Kansas City, Missouri and 
she passed away on August 28, 2004, in Bakersfield, CA.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Mary S. Reynolds; son and daughter-in-
law, Dominick and Rachel Mazza; 5 grand-children, Randy Mazza, Frank Reynolds, 
Joe Mazza, Jeanette Humecky, Artie Chavez; and 12 great-grandchildren; niece, 
Nancy Malinowski.

Pauline was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She 
always saw the good in people and never had a harsh word about anyone. She 
loved her family dearly and spending time with her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She enjoyed doing arts and 
crafts, traveling, and she especially enjoyed her trips where she could do a 
little gambling. She was a member of the Senior Getaways. All that knew her 
loved her and she will be deeply missed.
