Services will be held at Valley Bible Fellowship, 2300 E. Brundage Lane, 
Thursday, September 2, at 10:00 a.m. for Benjamin Ante Chavez, 63, who on 
August 30, 2004, left this earth for a better place. Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. 
at Valley Bible Fellowship on Thursday. 

Benjamin was born on November 3, 1940, in Galveston, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Chavez; fathers, Dan Chavez and 
Alfredo Pops Castro. Ben leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Mary Lou Chavez; 
mother, Susie Ante Castro; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Gary Silver, 
Susie and Craig Prendez and Mary and Jorge Aragon; daughters, Tris Hochstetler 
and Rena Chavez; sons and daughters-in-law, Oscar and Janet Galindo, Leonard 
and Cathy Galindo, Salvador and Patricia Galindo and James and Karen Galindo; 
twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Ralph and Gloria Chavez, Art and Shirley Chavez, and Daniel and Lodi Chavez; 
sister, Debbie Chavez and best friend and partner, Ray Mesina.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, 6-9 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 
River Blvd.
