Services: Thurs., Sept. 2, 10 a.m. 

Visitation for Connie Parker will be held at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home 
(501 Lucard, Taft) today, September 1, 2004, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A 
memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 2, 2004, at 
West Side Cemetery in Taft. Minister Robert Proctor will officiate.

Connie was born October 1, 1953 and was taken August 29, 2004, at the age of 
50.

She is survived by her children, Shara Cook and Donnie Parker and their 
spouses; her father, Richard McDonel; her brothers, Rick McDonel, Scott 
McDonel and Kevin McDonel and their spouses; her grandchildren, Meghan Cook 
and Michael Cook; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was 
preceded in death by her mother, Jean McDonel and grandparents.

Connie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved outdoor activities. She 
enjoyed the beach and camping with her family.

Connie gave comfort wherever she went and brightened the lives of everyone she 
knew. She meant more to others than she will ever know. Her family and friends 
will miss her cheerful and reassuring character dearly.

There will be a celebration of her life following the service, 1050 Wood St., 
Taft, CA.
