The Mass of the Christian Burial will be said at 9:00 a.m., on Friday, September 3, at St. Clement Mission, for Ramona Lozano Villa, 71, of Bakersfield, who died August 30, 2004. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Walter Cruz, Jr., Wally Cruz, Fernando, Angel, Jerry and Leonard Lozano. Ramona, born in Bakersfield, was employed at Mercy Hospital for 11 years. Her love and passion was crochet, creating something from nothing, a scarf for winter, a baby blanket to welcome a newborn into our world, handmade gifts from one generation to another. Those surviving Ramona include her children, Gabriel Villa and Rose, Don Villa and Laura Cruz and husband, Walter, all of Bakersfield; 4 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Ray Lozano of Bakersfield.
