Lorraine Laverne Ott was born on January 6, 1919 in Milwauke, Wisconsin to Louis and Anna Ott, one of eleven children. She was a drum majorette at Winneconne High School in Winneconne, Wisconsin. While on vacation in Waikiki, Hawaii from Illinois, she met Adolph Lorenzetti who was on vacation from Bakersfield, California. They were married in Santa Barbara, California on June 8, 1957 and they honeymooned in Hawaii. Although Hawaii was their favorite place to vacation, they also enjoyed vacations in Bora Bora and Morea (Tahiti) and also Bandon, Oregon on the coast. Lorraine was a very loving person and she was always ready to help others in need. She was a volunteer for the Kern County Welfare Department for over twenty years and much of her volunteer work was in convalescent hospitals. For her dedication to her volunteer work, she received the Volunteer of the Year Award at the Red Lion Inn and that award was presented by TV personality Burleigh Smith on KERO TV. Lorraine was a Sunday School teacher at her church, the Lutheran Church of Prayer. She was also an oil portrait and landscape painter. Among her best paintings is one of Jesus kneeling in prayer.
