Nora Mae Patterson

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at 10:00 
a.m., located at Hillcrest Memorial Park. 

Nora Mae (Mitchell) Patterson born October 9, 1914 in West Carroll Parish, 
Louisiana to Eula Bell (Finley) Mitchell and William Marcus Mitchell. Nora met 
John Erbie Patterson in Post Oak Lamar Co., Texas. They married in 1933. They 
lived on the family homestead until 1949 when they came to Shafter then 
Bakersfield, CA. Nora was a housewife, she enjoyed being home raising her 
children and being there for her grandchildren.

Nora was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Erbie who passed away 
in 1985, brothers, William, Claude, Bernard, Clarence and James Doyle, and 
sister, Melvalene.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Patterson and wife, Joyce, Helen 
Emberson, Bob Patterson and wife, Vivian; sisters, Lillian Garrett and Clara 
Gardner of Texas; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and eleven 
great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends to 
mourn her passing.

A visitation begins today, Friday, September 10, from 4-8 p.m. at Hillcrest 
Memorial Park.
