Ralph and Frances lived in Southern California until their move to Tulare in 1963, and he worked for the Southern California Gas Company for almost 38 years before his retirement on May 1, 1989. Ralph took a leave of absence from the Gas Company to attend Christ for the Nations Seminary in the mid-1980s and received his degree in Theology. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gershom Green. After their move to Bakersfield in August of 1989, he considered his church home Laurelglen Bible Church and also enjoyed the fellowship at Christ Cathedral. Ralph and Frances were active as volunteers for Bakersfield Family Medical Center and Heritage Physician Network. Ralph was a true man of God, full of compassion, with a wonderful sense of humor. He was patient and kind, and able to make a friend of anyone. He will be greatly missed in this world, but we know he is rejoicing with his Lord now. One of his favorite Bible verses is found in Psalms 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
