Hood, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandpa, graduated into Heaven on September 8, 2004. Throughout his full life he never lost his sense of purpose, which was to preach the Gospel of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Irma; his sister, Gwen Hood; his children, Susan Harmon, Sharon Hobba and Jonathan Mark Hood; his stepchildren, Valli Hernandez, Tom and Gary Hollenbeck; his 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild also adored Keith. Keith was born in Nottingham, England in 1928 where at the age of 16, he received his call to serve Christ in the Ministry. His love of learning about God and His Word marked all of his life. While finishing undergraduate work at Columbia Bible College, Keith gained knowledge and experience by assuming his first pastorate at a Baptist church in Waynesboro, GA. Later, Keith earned a Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena and a decade later earned a Doctorate of Ministry at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. During 50 years of ministry Keith touched many thousands of lives. In the 1960s he served as Senior Pastor of Grace Church in Santa Barbara, which was one of the early pioneers in TV broadcasting. In 1972 he was called to First Presbyterian Church in Bakersfield, and later to Morgan Hill Presbyterian Church. In his later years, Keith served as interim pastor at various churches of other denominations. He was always moved with a passion for learning and then teaching the Word of God, both from the pulpit and the family room. As a father and devoted husband he loved his wife and children dearly. As a Grandpa, he will be missed as a loving man who told stories and laughed a great deal. As a man, his devotion and sweet nature will be remembered by all that loved him. We can all rejoice with Keith as he is now face to face with the One that he has served throughout his life. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
