Pastor Johnny Perez will officiate. Chon was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 13, 1955 and he passed away on September 4, 2004, in Bakersfield, California. Chon is survived by his mother, Alice Aleman; his daughter, Christine Coca; his granddaugher, Nayomi Thompson; 2 sisters, Gloria Coca and Helen Papp; 1 brother, Fred Coca and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and church family. Chon was a kind man of God. He was always willing to talk and listen. No matter what you said, he always had a kind and gentle look about him and just talking to him made you feel better. Even though he faced tragedy about 25 years ago, leaving him paralyzed, he still faced life head-on. He never complained about his situation and he was always willing to help others out. He was a brilliant artist. He enjoyed spending his time reading his Bible, drawing, taking evening strolls and his all time favorite was cooking. No matter who you were, if you went to his house, he would cook you something to eat. He sure liked to try out new recipes and everything he made always came out good. And of course if you cook, you have to eat. Chon was a dedicated father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew and friend to all who knew him. Chon will be greatly missed and we are all sad that he is gone. Chon is now in the presence of his Lord and he is running and jumping for joy. Dont be sadhe has gone home.
