Visitation will be held this evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Gertrude was born October 8, 1910 in Tulia, Texas to James and Cora Ingram. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, sister Alice Ingram, Effie Ingram, Mary Palden and brother Cliff Ingram. She is survived by nieces Sharon Lackie, Berta McCarthy, Geri Westad and nephew Bob Palladino and sister-in-law, Irene Ingram. She is also survived by 6 grand nieces, 3 grand nephews, 4 great nieces, and 4 great nephews. Gertrude taught 3rd grade in Los Angeles City School District for many years. She was a USC graduate and remained a loyal Trojan fan. She was also an avid Dodger fan and could quote the personal history of most the players. She rarely missed watching them play on T.V. She had a great love for children, roses, orchids, dahlias, and Sees candy. She was a member of the original Dahlia Society. Gertie loved the Lord and lived her life according to His word. The family wishes to thank Dr. Praveen Sureen, M.D., Interim Assisted Care, particularly Francine, Linda, Julie and Elma who loved and cared for her. The family would also like to thank the staff of Hoffman Hospice and their wonderful support team for helping make her last days so comfortable.
