Nana was born 12/22/1910 in Los Angeles to Parents, George and Mary Arnerich. She met the love of her life, Herman Crede as a young child and always knew in her heart she would one day marry him. They were wed on 9/12/1932 and theirs was a true love story. They were blessed with many happy years together before the Lord called Herman home in 1982. Nana later moved to Bakersfield to be closer to her daughter. She made her home in Kern City Retirement Community and she had countless friends and neighbors who visited often and loved her dearly. She was recently awarded the Key to Kern City in appreciation and recognition for all her time and effort on the many committees she was involved with. Among the many clubs she served on were Minus One, the Sewing Club, the Social Club, and the Christian Womens Fellowship. Nana led a very active life filled with love and devotion. She was an ordained Eucharistic Minister at St. Philips and every week she gave Holy Communion to the sick and the elderly in our local convalescent hospitals. She also belonged to St. Margaret Marys YLI, Womens Club, Philippians 50+, and St. Philips Health Team. God blessed Nana with many gifts. She was a lady in every sense, filled with kindness, compassion, dignity and grace. Nana will remain in our hearts and those of our childrens always. Nana was preceded in death by her parents ; husband, Herman; sister, Marie Cowan; brother, Anthony Arnerich; sons-in-law, Bert Bruns Sr., and Jim Palermo; and grandson, Jimmy Palermo. Nana is survived by her loving family, brother, Vincent Arnerich & wife, Helen; sister-in-law, Mary Arnerich; children, Mary Lou Bruns, Barbara Palermo and Bob and Jeanette Crede; grandchildren, Laurie and Kelley Cloughly, Bert Bruns Jr., Lisa and Pete Cook, Kathy and German Digoy, Mary and Tim Denari, Tom Bruns, Marcy and Michael Booth, Melissa and Daniel Hawken and Michelle Crede; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Proverbs 31: 28-31 Her children rise up and praise her; her husband, too, extols her. Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all. Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her a reward of her labors, and let her works praise her at the city gates. The family wished to sincerely thank Optimal Hospice and Nancy Nusbaum from Comprehensive Care Systems for their kindness and understanding while caring for our Nana.
