Gene Underwood
Services: Mon., Sept. 20, 9:30 a.m.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
for Gene Underwood, 74, who passed away September 13, 2004. Pastor Erwin 
Lueker of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Delano will officiate. 

Mr. Underwood was born in April 3. 1930, in Yates Center, Kansas and resided 
in Kern County for 30 years. He worked as an area manager in propane sales for 
Suburban Propane. Mr. Underwood was a member of the Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Jane Underwood of Bakersfield; sons and daughters-
in-law Mel and Jan Underwood of Sacramento, Gary and Lynn Underwood of 
Bakersfield and Larry and Maria Underwood of Delano; grandchildren Michelle 
Davis, Stephanie Jones, Russell Underwood, Shaela Pruitt, Sean Pruitt and 
Travis Pruitt; and great-grandchildren Matthew and Joshua Davis, Zachary Jones 
and Hannah and Hailee Underwood.

No visitation is scheduled.
