Pg. 43  OBITUARY  NOTICES 
JAYNES,  Thomas W. - Services for Thomas W. Jaynes, 82, of Jaynes Avenue,  
North-of-the-River, will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of  
Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara with interment following in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A 
retired Southern Pacific railroad conductor, Jaynes had resided her 43 
years. He  died May 4 in a local hospital. He leaves his widow, Mae Jane, a 
niece, 
Mrs. Eva  Blackwell and a cousin, Patricia Black, all of Bakersfield and 
another cousin,  Errol Jaynes of Portland, Ore. Pallbearers will be Albert 
Burton, 
L. G. Pauly,  Thos. R. Houghman, Orville L Colburn, James Parker and Richard 
???? (heavy,  blurred ink). Jaynes was a member of Bakersfield Lodge No. 246 F. 
& A.M.,  Bakersfield Chapter No 125 O. R. S., and of the Bakersfield Scottish 
Rite  Bodies(?).
