LEE, EDGAR  W. - Funeral services for Edgar W. Lee, 80, will be held at the 
Gospel  Tabernacle, Orange and Stockton streets, Arvin, Wednesday at 10 a.m. 
under the  direction of the H. R. Borgsdorf Mortuary. The Rev. Arnold Niemeyer 
will  officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Lee 
lived at  501 El Monte Dr., and was born in Gallatin, Mo. He had been a 
resident of Arvin  for 30 years. He was a retired brick mason. His death on Oct 
16 
followed a  lengthy illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie Lee; three 
daughters,  Mrs. Dorothy Conway and Mrs. Opal Smith, both of Bakersfield; Mrs. 
Edith Burwell  of Los Angeles; two sons, Homer and Luther DePriest, both of 
Arvin; seven  grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one nephew, Scott Lee of 
Santa Ana.  Pallbearers will be C. H. Hammonds, Jess Horton, Bob Carter, Jack 
Ford, John  Honea and Ed Sanderson.
