Vincent Eli Johnson, Sr.
1943 - 2004

Vincent Eli Johnson, Sr. was born in Colorado Springs, Co., April 18, 1943 and 
resided in Kern County for the past 47 years. Vincent served our country 
honorably in the U.S. Army from 1960-1966 serving tours in France and Germany 
as a professional Telephone Communications Specialist, leaving the Army in 
1966 to attend college. He has worked for Media Com since 1983 in Kernville 
and was known as Vinny. 

He is preceded in death by his father Vincent J. Johnson and his mother Betty 
Alta Joe Bivens. He is survived by his three children, Mary Johnson, Pamela 
Johnson and Vincent Eli Johnson Jr., his 3 grandchildren: Daniel Johnson, 
Shawn Johnson and Alisha Johnson. His brother Thomas McClendon, Sr. and 
family. Surviving uncles and aunts: George Clyde, Jean Joe, Eli J. Joe, John 
and Mary Poatgate, Harvey and Sharon Joe, James Washington and Lucy Joe, as 
well as a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. 

Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Chapel , Panama Lane & Highway 
99. Monday September 20, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. followed by graveside services. 
Visitations will be today from 9:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Mission Family 
Mortuary.
