BURT,  HILDA E. - Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Payne 
and Son  funeral Home for Hilda E. Burt, 50, Route 1 Box 559, who died Nov. 1 
at her  home. The Rev. Dr. John S. Whiteneck of the First Congregational 
Church will  officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Shafter 
Cemetery.  Mrs. Burt was a native of Ohio and had lived here for 40 years. She 
was a member  of the First Congregational Church and a graduate of the Kern 
County Union High  School in the class of 1927. Survivors include her husband, 
Richard P. (Dick)  Burt of Bakersfield; one son William E. of Bakersfield; 
daughters Miss Bonnie  Burt of Bakersfield and Mrs. Sherley Kern of Mojave; 
brothers, Lory Whiting of  Fresno and Richard Whiting of Taft; sisters, Mrs. 
Mary 
Jane Matthews of Corona  and Norma Orth of San Mateo; her mother, Mrs. Eva B. 
Whiting of Long Beach; and  three grandchildren, Richie, Kally Lou and Kelly 
Lee 
Kern of Mojave. Pallbearers  will be John Bass, Paul Huggins, Jess Herring, 
Felix Etcheverry, Elwood Bell and  Harry Peters.
