Pastor Cisco Maldonado will be officiating. Don was born Wayne David Harris to David Francis and Daisy Mae Harris in Fort Dodge, Iowa on May 2, 1920. At age 17, Don changed his name and started life anew. He met and married his wife, Vera, in 1941. He had two daughters, Dona and Dorthy (deceased). He served as military mayor of a small town in Germany during World War II. He started his own successful drilling contractors business in the early 1960s, Dahlquist Drilling. He was a man of honor and pride, a man of his word. Don survived by his ex-wife, Vera Watts; daughter, Dona Bickmore; son-in-law, Henry Bud Bickmore; granddaughters, Pamela Coleman, Laura Aninion, Brenda Medina, Jami Lyon and Teresa Burnham; grandsons, Kenneth Faulkner, Jr., David Faulkner, Robert Burnham and James Burnham. He had 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, Kyle. A viewing is scheduled at Hillcrest Mortuary for Thurs., September 23, 2004 from 4-7 p.m. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
