Borth May 14, 1943 September 2, 2004 Memorial services will be held at Pepper Tree Golf Course, 1119 Watts Drive, Saturday September 25, 2004, 7-9 p.m. Marty was born in San Francisco, CA and moved to Bakersfield in 1945. He joined the Army in 1966 and became a Bird Dog pilot in Vietnam in 1968. After retiring in 1972 he spent his time in Hawaii and Texas. After coming home to Bakersfield he became the General Manager of the Pepper Tree Golf Course. He told us I cant imagine a better job, I get to work and play golf too. Mart was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Nelma Borth. He is survived by his sister, Wendye Leach and husband, Larry of Bakersfield; nieces, Danna Martin and husband, Twain of Tustin, CA and Julie Shackelford and husband, Scott of Broken Arrow, OK; nephew, Steven Leach and wife, Linda of Bakersfield; great-nieces and nephew, Tisa, Breanna and Jade Martin of Tustin, CA, and Patrick Shackelford of Broken Arrow, OK; great-niece, Jessica Allyger and husband, Mark; great-great-nephew, Jaydin Allyger all of Rancho Santa Margarita.
