Edward D. "Sam" Lanier Sr.
June 22, 1939 Sept. 21, 2004

Edward Sam Lanier passed away at 8:40 a.m. on September 21, 2004 of a heart 
attack due to bronchial pneumonia. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon Lanier and his four children, 
Sherrie, Donald Jr., Sidney and Michael Lanier. Also his brother, James T. 
Lanier and sister, Anna Mozelle McMahan and five grandchildren.

Sam was an electrician for 40 years and belonged to the IBEW Local 428. He 
also served 4 years as an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 25, 11:00 a.m., at Valley 
Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Ave., Bakersfield.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Valley Baptist Church.
