He was born April 20, 1961 in Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Kern County for over 9 years. Douglas loved fishing and working on cars. He was a truck driver by profession and was a very gentle and caring person who would stop to help anyone who seemed they needed help, whether it was by the side of the road, parking lot or anywhere they looked like they needed assistance. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include his loving wife of six years, Jeanine and stepsons, Cyrus Moore and Timothy McMillian all of Bakersfield; mother, Pearl Walsh of NJ; daughter, Jennifer; and son, Douglas Meinzer and their mother, Michele Loden of PA; sister, Pearl Ann Giordano; nephew, Jerry Giordano, Jr.; brother, Tomas M. Emerson and nephew, Tomas M. Emerson, Jr. all of NJ. Gone but not forgotten. At Douglas request there will be no services.
