Lynn McBride Services: Sat., Sept. 25, 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for longtime Taft resident, C.L. Lynn McBride, 95. Mr. McBride was delivered by his father on August 28, 1909, in Licking, Missouri. He was the seventh child born to Obal Chesley McBride and Dunnie Belle Harry. Mr. McBride passed away in Bakersfield on September 21, 2004. He had resided in Taft for the last 59 years; 57 of those years were spent with his beloved wife, Sarah. He had been employed by Chevron Oil for over 25 years. Mr. McBride was an active member of the Taft United Methodist Church and served as head usher for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah in July of this year. His survivors include three of his ten siblings, Wayne, Marjorie and Avolyn; his daughter and her husband, Irmaleen and William Deromedi of Lansing, MI; three granddaughters, Kimberly Ford of Holt, MI, Karen Kalmbach and her husband, Steve of Byron, MI and Kathy Starkweather and her husband, David of Marietta, GA and five great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to service time at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. Thanks to the family who have been able to support Lynn and Sarah until their passing, Wayne McBride, Kent and Sherry McBride, Donel Crow and Lea Ann Mattly. And thanks to Regency West I for feeding Lynn and Parkview Julian for being there in the end.
