INQUEST  PENDING IN MONDAY SHOOTING 
A  Coroner's inquest is pending into the shooting death Monday evening of 
Jessie  Clark, who expired in the bedroom of his home at 49519 Brett St. 
Clark,  an employee of the State Division of Highways, died as the result of 
a single  gunshot wound to the head. The weapon was described by investigators 
as a .357  magnum revolver belonging to the victim. 
City  Police and Sheriff's officers were summoned to the Ash Tract home at 
6:51 p.m.  by neighbors of the Clarks. 
Officer  Jerry Pattison found the victim lying in the bedroom, mortally 
wounded. An  ambulance was called and a doctor. 
Clark  was pronounced dead upon the arrival of a physician shortly after 7 
o'clock. 
Sheriff's  officers have tentatively listed the death as possible suicide. 
Mr.  Clark is survived by his widow, Donna; and two children, John 3, and 
Misty, six  months old.
