He graduated with the class of 1939 from K.C.U.H.S. When WWII broke out, he joined the Navy and served his country. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for several years and for many years he was a night foreman for Hopper Steel. He was the First WWII Commander of V.F.W. Post 1468. Glen loved to play golf and was a past member of Stockdale Country Club and Sundale Country Club. He was a member and Past Master of Libertas Lodge 466 F.&A.M. and a member of Royal Arch Masons, Bakersfield Commandery, Scottish Rite, Al Malaikah Shrine Temple and Kern County Shrine Club. He was also a proud member of the Royal Order of Jesters, L.A. Court #84. Glen was a gentle, generous and caring man who loved his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife, Vivian; stepsons, Larry Beck and family, Bill Johnston and family, Mickey Johnston and family; and four sisters, Mary Alice Wassem, Ann Bouguennic, Pat Grainger, Barbara Jones and their families. Glen is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Hoffman Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shrine Hospital for Children, 3100 Geneva Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
