He attended Beardsley Elementary School, Kern Union High School and East High School. Between jobs he met and married Bertha Marie Parker. This union brought three children, two sons, Ed of Bakersfield, CA, and Gene of Las Vegas, Nevada. One daughter, Donnette of Las Vegas, Nevada. Some people may remember him by his nickname of Johnny Padre which he acquired while working at the old Padre Hotel. John ended up living out his life in the same place he had came to as a youth, Oildale, CA. Whether you considered him a friend or a foe, its now time to put that all aside and join us in saying goodbye.
