Pastor Paul Wilson of Trinity Southern Baptist Church will officiate. Mrs. Phillips was born in Taft on March 9, 1920, and passed away in Bakersfield on September 25, 2004. She was raised and educated in Taft and was a member of the 1938 graduating class at Taft Union High School. In 1941 she married Thomas C. T.C. Phillips in Taft. They moved to Los Angeles in 1954 and returned to Taft in 1957. Together they operated a successful sub-surface pump company in Taft and retired in 1980. The Phillips retired to Cayucos and when T.C. passed away in December of 1986 Lucille returned home to Taft. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter and her husband, Carole and Mark Stigall of Taft; her two sons, Robert Douglas Phillips of Taft and William Greg Speed Phillips of McKittrick; her sister, Maxine Davis of Bakersfield; her two nephews, Ronald D. Davis of South Carolina and Donald L. Davis of Texas; her niece, Peggy Williams of Bakersfield; her six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the services are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
