Visitation for Rene Sonny Durazo will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 
Niles St.) on Monday evening October 4, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 
funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day 
Saints (La Cresenta Ward 1903 Bernard St.) on Tuesday morning, October 5, 
2004, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest memorial park. 

Sony was born September 18, 1939, in Nogales, AZ and he passed away on Friday, 
October 1, 2004 in Bakersfield with his family by his side. He is survived by 
his wife of 41 years, Carmen Duzaro; mother Clara Miller; son and daughter-in-
law, Chuck and Clarrisa Durazo; sons, Danny, Javier, Ernesto, and Jaime 
Durazo; 10 grandchildren and numerous cousins and friends. For additional
