Rev. Bobby Best will officiate. Tom was born February 17, 1947 in Canada and was a resident of Kern County for 30 years. He was a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. Tom was a wonderful Dad, a kind and loving man. He was well loved and respected by all who knew him. Tom was an avid cribbage player and loved to sit on his patio and spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Van Haga; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Hayes, Sheila and Heath Loper all of Bakersfield and Janet and Chuck Holyk of Canada; grandchildren, Elisha and Christine Hayes, Heath Loper Jr. and Kendra and Kelsey Holyk; and nine siblings.
