Settlemire 9/8/1930 9/30/2004 Tommy T. Settlemire was born on September 8, 1930 in Atoka, Oklahoma to H.A. and Lucy Settlemire and passed away on September 30, 2004 in Bakersfield. Tommy and his wife, Edith, have lived in Weldon, CA for the past 24 years. He was a member of the FLCIO Labor Union 585 and was a construction laborer for 27 years. Tommy was a loving husband, dad, and granddad and was especially proud of his new great-granddaughter, Kameron Jane. He raised homing pigeons and doves and liked to collect rattles from snakes to put in his fiddles, he said it made them sound better. Tommy was a musician and has won many awards for his fiddle and guitar playing. He loved performing and country music was his specialty. Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Edith; daughters, Phyllis Cummings and husband, Warren, Wanda Hubbard and husband, Lane and Janie Braun and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Tommy Hubbard, Dale Hubbard, Mark Braun, Jr., John Cummings and Steve Cummings, and Mandy Braun; great-granddaughter, Kameron Jane Braun; his two Dalmatians, Molly and Cameron. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 4, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park. No visitation is scheduled. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
