Ruth Rascoe
Services: Tues., Oct. 5, 2 p.m.

Ruth Rascoe of Bakersfield, born in Boise, Idaho, on June 27, 1915, passed 
away waiting for the Lord on September 30, 2004. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Kennedy; sister, 
Stella Mutch and brother, Tommie Kennedy. She is survived by her husband, 
Charles of 71 years and their children, Anita and Hank Stewart, Bonnie and Bob 
Karns, and Gary and Phyllis Rascoe; five grandchildren; ten great-
grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mom spent her early years attending school in Maricopa. Mom married dad 71 
years ago in Maricopa on the old Bankline Oil Lease.

The greatest part of their married life was spent traveling in the U.S. and 
raising their three children.

Mom will be forever missed by all who knew her and we know she will be in a 
better place now.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, October 5, at 2:00 p.m., at West Side 
District Cemetery in Taft. Pastor Marlan Knittle will officiate.

Visitation begins Sunday, October 3, 12:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 
River Blvd.
