Garner Services: Friday, Oct. 8, 12 p.m. J.B. Garner, age 94, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was a strong man who worked as a gardner for 40 years. He lived life to the fullest right up to the last days before he slipped hitting his head causing his death in Las Vegas, on October 3, 2004. Born in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Sydney and Selina Raphel Garner on March 15, 1910, he was the youngest of 13 children. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy; granddaughters, Ebony and Victor Reed, and Airrika; great- granddaughter, Victoria, who will miss him dearly. His hobbies were playing dominoes and shooting pool. Thank you to all our friends who have supported us during our time of grief. Visitation begins today Thursday, October 7, from 1-5 p.m. at Bakersfield Family Funeral Dir., 701 34th St. and Chapel services will be 12 p.m. on Friday, October 8, at Bakersfield Family.
