Ramona De La Torre Vega
Dec. 8, 1950 Oct. 2, 2004

Funeral services will be held on October 9, 2004 in Barstow, CA, at Desert 
Fire Ministry, 812 East Williams St., at 10:00 a.m. 

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents Jose Sr. and Lucia De La Torre. She 
is survived by her husband of 28 years Jesse Vega Sr., her sons and their 
wives, Jesse Jr. and Celina Vega, Christopher and Brienne K. Vega. Her 
daughter Angelica Vega. Her brothers and their wives. Jose Jr. and Josie, 
Jaime and Margaret, Carlos and Carmen De La Torre, Arthur and Irene Moreno and 
Cirillo De La Torre, sisters Sarah Marquez and Margaret Vigil, and many nieces 
and nephews and friends.

Ramona devoted her life to her family and on serving the Lord. It was her 
faith in the Lord that gave her the motivation and strength to still enjoy the 
things that she loved about her everyday life while battling cancer. She never 
let her illness get in the way of family and church functions. Visits to 
Bakersfield to see her brothers and sisters, and most of all being with her 
husband and kids is what she loved the most. Unselfishly Ramona did for others 
before herself. She was known to those around her as a soft hearted person who 
never deny a person in need. The family asks to withhold flowers, cards, etc., 
instead donate to the American Cancer Society in her name.
