Edward Nelson Harrington

Services: Mon., Oct. 11, 10 a.m. 



Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., 
Monday, October 11, 10:00 a.m., for Edward Nelson Harrington, 84, who passed 
away October 7, 2004 in Bakersfield. Pastor Marlan Knittel and Pastor David 
Bello will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial 
Park.

Edward was born July 19, 1920, in Omaha, Nebraska to William and Stella 
Harrington. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Edward was an automotive body 
and fender repairman for 40 years. He was a member of the Central Seventh Day 
Adventist Church and did lots of work for the Church. He loved to play the 
harmonica.

Edward is survived by his wife, Katie Harrington; son and daughter-in-law, Sam 
and Maureen Harrington; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Lynn Hansen, 
Jean Tillman-Tootle and Harry, and Barbara Ann and Ronnie Hill; eight 
grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol Smith.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th from 
noon to 9:00 a.m.
