Willie Hollins, officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Union Cemetery. A viewing and visitation will be held today, Wednesday, October 13, 2004, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Beloved Care Funeral Services, 115 18th Street, Bakersfield, CA with a meditation / wake scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Emily Rose Hollins, known affectionately by her family as Grandma and Nessie, age 80, was born September 4, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She departed this life October 5, 2004, in Bakersfield, California. She was the daughter of Louis and Agnes Snear. She had been a resident of Lawton, Oklahoma prior to moving to Bakersfield. She attended St. Francis and Chapel of Praise for the last twenty-eight years. She attended school in New Orleans, LA. Some of her early childhood years were spent in Pass Christian, Mississippi. She was a good mother and grandmother who wanted her family to be knitted close together in love. Emily loved to attend church and she accepted the Lord at a young age. She leaves memories to be cherished by her son, Pastor Willie Hollins and his wife, Rose M. Hollins; four grandchildren, Yolanda Hollins, Lisa Hollins, Rochelle Hollins, Julian Hollins and wife, Casie and six great-grandchildren. For all additional service information, call 631-2825.
