Eduardo Avila

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2004 from 2 p.m. until 9 
p.m., at St. Augustine Church. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. and the 
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 
all at St. Augustine Church in Lamont for Eduardo Avila, 39, of Bakersfield, 
who died October 7, 2004. Burial will follow at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin. 
His sons and brothers will serve as casket bearers.

Eduardo, born in Mexico, had resided in Kern County since 1978. He was 
employed as a supervisor for Rod McClellan Co. since 1992. Eddie had a great 
passion for music and at the age of 15 joined a band. Eddie loved joking with 
everyone. Those who knew him all have a favorite joke to remember him by. 
Eduardo was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Silveria Avila and 
by his sister, Maria Avila. 

Those surviving Eduardo include his wife of 19 years, Irene; sons, Eduardo Jr. 
and Xavier; daughters, Kathryn and Naomi; his sisters and brothers, Leticia, 
Amparo and Sylvia Avila, Jose Gregorio Jr., Marco Antonio, Wilfredo and Ismael 
Avila and their families and lots of friends that he is loved by.
