Edward Virgil McGee

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Edward Virgil McGee, 47, of 
Bakersfield, CA will be held on Friday, October 15, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Saints 
Memorial Church of God in Christ, 200 Pacheco Rd. Interment will immediately 
follow in Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery, 2739 Panama Lane. 

A meditation / wake will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2004 in the Chapel 
of Beloved Care Funeral Services, 115 18th Street, Bakersfield, CA from 6-8 
p.m. For all additional service information call 631-2825.

Edward Virgin McGee was born August 19, 1957, in Bakersfield, California to 
the parents of Dr. Eddie and Mrs. Blanche McGee. Mr. McGee attended McKinley 
Elementary School, Thompson Jr. High School and graduated from South High 
School in 1975. Mr. McGee served in the U.S. Navy and discharged in 1977. Mr. 
McGee received Christ at a young age and was a member of Saints Memorial 
Church of God in Christ under the leadership of his father, Dr. Eddie McGee. 
He closed his eyes in peace on October 9, 2004.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Dr. and Mrs. Eddie McGee; 
one sister, Mary D. McGee of Bakersfield, CA; brothers, Rev. Kevin (Pamela) 
and Patrick (Russail) McGee of Bakersfield, CA, Dwight (Mary W.) McGee of 
Carson, CA and Carlton (LaTaschia) McGee of San Mateo, CA; six nephews, three 
nieces, two great-nephews, one great niece, aunts, uncles and a large host of 
cousins, church family and friends.
