Duarosan Rosary: Fri., Oct. 15, 7 p.m. Mass: Sat., Oct. 16, 9 a.m. Rosary and Prayers will be held Friday, October 15, at 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln. A Mass will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 7100 Stockdale Hwy., Saturday, October 16, 2004, 9:00 a.m. He was born in the Philippines on January 15, 1933, the oldest of 6 children. He arrived in California in 1970 and had lived in Bakersfield for the past 32 years. He spent his career as a Lab Tech in the oil refineries until retirement. He loved gardening, working in the yard and pruning his many fruit trees in the backyard. He enjoyed listening to music and in recent months, liked to watch music videos especially country music. Fonso is survived by his wife, Soledad; daughter and son-in-law, Marinelle and Ron Ramirez; his only grandchild, Matthew, whom he adored; his youngest sister, Hermenia Carino; his sister in Hawaii, Proxides; and by 2 other surviving siblings.
