James Richard "Rick" Kimbrell
March 24, 1953 - October 9, 2004

Visitation for James Richard Kimbrell will be held at Basham Funeral Care 
(3312 Niles St.) on Thursday evening, October 14, 2004 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. 
Funeral services will be held in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel on Friday 
afternoon, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest 
Memorial Park (9101 Kern Canyon Rd.) 

Rick was born on March 24, 1953, in Bakersfield, California and he passed away 
October 9, 2004, in Bakersfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, 
Chester and Golda Kimbrell. He is survived by 2 brothers and their wives, Gary 
and Donna Kimbrell and Phil and Sue Kimbrell; brother, Ron Kimbrell; good 
friend, David Rhoten; nieces, Judy Brunette and Kerri Kimbrell; nephews, 
Andrew Kimbrell, Aaron Kimbrell, and Jared Kimbrell and numerous other nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and many friends and co-workers.

Rick graduated from Bakersfield High School and Southwestern College in 
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years. 
Prior to that, he worked for the Kern County Department of Human Services. 
Rick loved to travel and visit family and friends. He was the common thread 
that held family and friends in touch. He had a multitude of friends and he 
will be greatly missed by us all. For additional service or floral delivery
