Visitation for Richard Paul Porter will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 
Niles St.) on Monday evening October 18, 2004 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., and 
funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral care Chapel on Tuesday 
morning October 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn 
Cemetery (River Blvd.) Pastor John Pimienta will officiate. 

Richard Paul Porter was born June 30, 1921 in Sanger, California and he passed 
away on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 in Bakersfield with his family by his 
side. Richard is preceded in death by his son Robert Porter and he is survived 
by his loving wife of 58 years, Rose Porter; daughter, Rosie Rocha; sons 
Ronnie and Ralph Porter; brother, Louie Porter, 12 grandchildren; 12 great 
grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard 
was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all 
that knew him and he will be deeply missed. For additional service and floral
