He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. What his loved ones will remember most are his infectious laugh and great sense of humor. His sisters would say that they had been the victim of Jimmys good-natured pranks and loved every minute of it. He loved his Grandma Bradens cooking and enjoyed holidays and special times with family. Jimmy proudly served his country in the Army from 1980 to 1984. He has traveled the world, seen many places and had wonderful experiences in his brief time here. He was an avid bicyclist and made his way around Bakersfield in that fashion. He also had a strong belief in his Heavenly Father and always looked forward to good things in his life. Jimmy had been preceded in death by his brother, Rodney D. Chase in 2000 and his lovely mother, Judy (Chase) Lehtinen in 2001. He is survived by his father, Howard D. Chase and his loving, devoted grandmother, Modena Braden both of Bakersfield; as well as his sister, Leah Ensign of Fresno and his sister, Dena Chase of Bakersfield. Nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Jimmy are Jennifer Grimm, Chad Nelson, Cameron Johnson, Lexi Johnson, Seith, Caleb and Zacharia Chase. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Jimmy, you leave us with so many memories to cherish. Your sisters love you so.
