Robert E. Sutherland
Services: Wed., Oct. 20, 11 a.m.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
for Robert E. Sutherland, 86, who passed away October 16, 2004. Chaplain 
Patrick Roberts will officiate. 

Mr. Sutherland was born on February 13, 1918, in Provo, Utah and resided in 
Kern County for 79 years. He was a butcher and meat cutter for 34 years for 
Sutherland Meats. Robert loved his holiday BBCs, family get togethers were 
very special to him. He loved to eat and feed whomever showed up. Robert felt 
that if you left hungry it was your own fault. He was a member of the Aries 
Eagles Lodge #93, F.O.E.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Liz Sutherland; 
granddaughter, Suzette Pritchett and grandson, Donald Choat. Survivors include 
his wife, Nell Betty Sutherland of Bakersfield; daughters, Sharon Sutherland 
of Bakersfield, Shelia Auen and husband, Regis of San Martin, Shirley Choat, 
Susan Pritchett and husband, Paul, Julie Ross and husband, Jeff all of 
Bakersfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Patricia Frieson of Santa 
Maria, Johnnie and Margaret Frieson of Bakersfield, Kenneth and Sheryl Frieson 
of Hart Flat, and Michael and Karen Frieson of Bakersfield; 26 grandchildren; 
30 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Sutherland of Bakersfield; sister and 
brother-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Lemucchi of Bakersfield and many nieces 
and nephews.

Visitation begins today, 3:00 9:00 p.m.
