Artiaga Feb. 20, 1937 Oct. 16, 2004 Service: Thurs., Oct. 21, 10 a.m. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2004, 4-6 p.m. with Rosary being held Wednesday, at 6:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21st, 10:00 a.m., also at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Father Bob Weinzinger will officiate. Margaret Margie Artiaga went to be with the Lord Oct. 16, 2004 in Bakersfield, CA. Margie was born on February 20, 1937 to Jose and Maria Ramirez in Artesia, New Mexico. She married Ray Artiaga in 1953 and they moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1955 where they made a home and raised their five children. Margie was a homemaker for 50 years and took great pride in her family and home. Margie loved to dance the night away, but her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her grandchildren. Margie was loving and generous to all she knew, the backbone of our family, she will be deeply missed. Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Margie was preceded in death by her son, Rayner Artiaga, her parents, Jose and Maria Ramirez and her brother, Sam Ramirez. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ray Artiaga; sons, Reuben Artiaga and wife, Serena, Ronnie Artiaga, Ralph Artiaga and one daughter, Rachel Ann Artiaga Martinez; grandchildren, Reuben R. Artiaga and wife, Tara, Veronica M. Artiaga, Rayner Artiaga Jr., Nicole R. Artiaga, Carla R. Artiaga, Kelly R. Artiaga, Rick Artiaga Martinez, Jennie D. Artiaga, Andrea Artiaga Martinez, and Brian R. Artiaga; great- grandchildren, Selena Artiaga, Rayna Artiaga, Kaleb Artiaga and Kiersten Artiaga; five brothers, Larry , Billy, Adam, Joe & Frankie Ramirez; three sisters, Connie Deporto, Mayo Salmon & Becky Quesada; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Reuben R. Artiaga, Rayner Artiaga Jr., Kelly R. Artiaga, Rick Artiaga Martinez, Brian R. Artiaga and Vincente Marquez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Veronica M. Artiaga, Nicole R.
