Casey, Sr. Services: Sun., Oct 24, 2 p.m. William Clyde Casey Sr. passed away Sunday, October 17, 2004 at the age of 84. Clyde was born in Paris, Texas on July 29, 1920 to Frank and Annie Casey and moved to California with his family in 1932. Serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp in WWII in Hawaii and Florida, Clyde became an avid aviation enthusiast and his love for airplanes lead him to work as a civilian with the Kern County Airport Department. An accomplished pilot, mechanic and motorcyclist, he owned two airplanes and was always working on a restoration project. Clyde is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, William Jr. and Michael; daughters, Kathleen Corvese and Lynn Houston; six grandchildren; one great- grandson; half brothers, Paul and Don Casey; half sisters, Nadine Stevens, Carol Martin, Linda Casey, and Faye Lohman. He is preceded in death by his mother, Annie; father, Frank; brother, James Casey; half brother, Johnson Morris; half sisters, Sal Thompson, Daisy Johnston, Lottie Shelton and Willie Wortham, Peggy Pauline and Jo Etta Nolan. Services will be held Sunday, October 24th, at 2:00 p.m., at the Shafter Airport, Flying M Aviation hanger. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
