Betty Ruth Ramay was born October 21, 1934 in Bogata, Texas to Jeff and Bessie McClenan and she went home to the Lord on her 70th birthday, October 21, 2004 in Bakersfield, California with her family by her side. Betty is survived by her husband of 34 years, J.C. Ramay; daughter and son-in- law, Jodie and DeWayne Blount; daughters, Jackie Carson and Delona Little; grandchildren, Chad and Jake Blount, Allen, Tyson and Tamara Carson, Mike Unsel, William Key, Pamela Little and great-granddaughter, Melana Unsel; ex- husband and friend, Delbert Key; sisters, Virginia Odell, Mary Sellers; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Augie Hernandez; sister, Thelma Fletcher and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Betty moved her three young daughters to Bakersfield in 1962 with the help of her dear sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Delmer. She married J.C. Ramay in 1970. J.C. has been a true blessing through our mothers illness. Betty loved to bake, crochet, read and go fishing with her grandsons. Even when she was so ill, she still loved to shop with her daughter. Spending time with her family was the most important thing in Moms life.
