Pastor Duane Meadors of New Life in Christ will officiate and interment will follow. Lois L. Forrest was born January 7, 1924 to Clyde and Nora LaCoss in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She came to California in 1934. Lois married the love of her life Ralph Forrest on December 23, 1940. Lois was a volunteer for KMC Hospital in the 1970s. She was a PTA President at Meridian Schools. She was also a Brownie leader for two years and took her Brownie group on the final passenger train trip that went through the Tehachapi Loop. She will be greatly missed by all that love her and knew her. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years who called her either Babe or The Squaw, because of her American Indian Heritage. She is survived by her son, Donald and Lynn Forrest of Salisaw, Oklahoma; daughters, Cricket and Eldon Eads of Keene, CA, Cindy and David Anson of Bakersfield; sister, Melba June Oliver of Ceres, CA; five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
